I miss the 80's when people hitting the news for killing sprees was all about working at the post office and the criminal's politics were irrelevant. I don't agree with the concept peddled by some that political affiliation has anything to do with how much of a psycho who should be in a psych ward someone is. Extremism isn't caused by belief, it's a sign of a broken individual who is a danger to society. Their politics or religion are of no consequence.

There will always be sick people. Politicians need to ensure there are affordable/free services for those who are mentally unwell. If these services aren't offered to people and weapons are so easily accessible then this is the result.

So as information is reluctantly released about this shooting we now know the shooter is a non binary man with a drug addicted mother and (if I recall correctly) a porn actor father. The man committed multiple felonies recently, was arrested and charged, yet faced zero consequences.

I don't know about his Mom's habit but in addition to being a porn star dad also starred on "Intervention" for his meth habit and in his own words was instantly relieved to find out his son wasn't gay after finding out that his son had perpetrated a mass shooting. He also talked about how he encouraged and praised violent actions in front of his son.
