The guy and dog living outside my local supermarket disagree, he got evicted because his landlords insurance doubled after a hailstorm and he couldn't afford a $40 per week rent hike.

it wouldn't matter if he disagreed. even he is being counted when it comes to statistics. also, i hope he gets back on his feet.

I dont think not starving counts as a desirable baseline. If anything I would say that's the absolute minimum.

4 walls, a roof over your head, clean water and food is something i would consider a desirable baseline society should aim for. Do you agree and if so to what lengths would you be willing to go to achieve it?

fortunately (or unfortauntely) this is how it goes.

I bought a new computer and a car end of last year so my company could take a loss and gg.

In pretty much any first world country that standard of living is easily achievable for the entire population on a pretty minimal budget. Most of the world even throws healthcare on top.

Im not sold on this anarchist anti ownership stuff. If i understand your pov its that people exist therefore society owes them a desirable baseline standard of living in lieu of having them suffer in destitution. The concept of ownership deprives people of resources that would otherwise allow them to improve their standard of living. Do i have it right?

What you need to do to survive is just, assuming you don't kill somebody else in the process.

The concept of ownership as we currently have it enshrined in law currently in the United States results in many people dieing to preserve the wealth of others. Is it just for somebody to die from diabetes so a pharmaceutical company can have slightly higher profits? Absolutely not. Is it just for you to use a cheap car instead of a Lamborghini because you spent your money elsewhere? Yes.
