I'm convinced that he will eventually settle for "they STOLE my win, so I'll run again in 2024 to take back the presidency that is rightfully mine" as the official narrative. This allows him to leave the White House while saving face with his base, and to continue holding his rallies. It also allows him to keep monetizing the enthusiasm among his base.
In 2024, he'd be 78 years old, his moment will have passed, lots of forces within the party will have moved on from him, and there might be serious legal trouble waiting for him when he leaves office, so there's the potential that stuff comes up which discredits his "brand".
Simply put, I expect him to keep pretending like he'll run again in 2024, but I expect it to be nothing but grifting.
