Correct. It's honestly a case for negligence leading to death against the police, so I'm kind of surprised the media hasn't run with it.
On the flipside, the media is incredibly against no-knock warrants in the first place, so I think they feel they can't address the one issue because of the other, but I'd say 2 things can be true at once. And no matter how distasteful they may find a no-knock warrant, they're typically used specifically because it's the safest way to handle the scenario, and least likely to lead to excessive force. As long as they're going to be continued to be issue, they should be acted on in good faith, which this one clearly was not.
Meh. Suffice it to say, I agree with you. But I don't think anything is going to come from that angle of it.
