They apparently draped the "don't tread on me" flag, which was synonymous with the Tea Party movement at the time, and they were involved in "tea party offshoot organizations".

I couldnt find info on their involvement in tea party offshoot organizations in the two articles I read.
The rattlesnake flag... is this really enough to prove that they were tea partiers when the police actually found all kinds of flags and insignia of various right-wing movements in their apartment?

man the tea party did a psychological number on the war and violence loving pale pasty privileged lefties here. they won some elections and got moderate national recognition, so now they’re evil incarnate apparently

meanwhile do NOT forget who has been encouraging violent peaceful protesting, uprisings, riots, destroying minority communities, looking for bread everywhere and anywhere, and of course #resisting math and elections since 2016:

He’s right that changing policy is the answer. Holding dirty cops accountable and locking the motherfuckers up is the only thing that will stop the riots and violence. But Democrats are right wing authoritarians. They’ll continue to give cops more money to break the laws and harass and commit acts of violence against the people
