Sounds like internet celebrity thinker Jordan Peterson is going through some hardcore rehab and detox to kick an addiction to benzos. Might also explain his uncannily calm demeanor when talking to utter shitheads, but he's definitely working his way to be in the 1 in 33,000 death statistic for benzos. Prescribed for anxiety attacks after having an autoimmune reaction to food, then started abusing to cope as his wife is dying from cancer, and blamed American hospitals for prescribing more addictive medications to treat the symptoms. Now he's gone for a radical treatment in Russia, presumably an induced-coma cold turkey withdrawal, which is of course very dangerous and may or may not have caused neurological damage, though it sounds like he's recovering.

Damn, I had no idea about any of this. I doubt that North American doctors misdiagnosed him. He is addicted to benzos. He needs to detox and go on a benzo taper. It looks pretty straight forward based on this info. Like alcohol, quitting cold turkey can cause medical side effects like seizures.

Also, what does his daughter mean that this isn't a psychological addiction? It totally is - in addition to a physical one.

two ambush attempts on police by a black gunman in NYC. First yesterday the guy walks up to a police car and tries to assassinate the officers, similar to the 2014 murder of two officers by a BLM gunman. They hit the gas and escaped, and a manhunt was started for a suspect and a reward posted. Then just in the past hour, what's suspected to be the same gunman (not confirmed yet) burst into a stationhouse and immediately opened fire on officers, striking one in the arm. Details unclear because news is just being reported, but he's "now in custody", suspected to be same guy in both shootings.

Benzos are terrible. They totally demolish your ability to think over time. When you take them during a stressful event you are exponentially more likely to have post traumatic stress. If you are on them for several years and quit taking them without tapering they can kill you or make you completely mentally disabled, and I mean drooling, shitting yourself sometimes, not knowing where you are all the time, etc. Even tapering off after a long addiction will make you an over anxious and dysfunctional human.

Opiate and cocaine addiction is much less severe.

Suspect identified in the attempted assassination of NYPD officers

A black man of unspecified age, Robert Williams is a career criminal whos arrests include an incident in 2002 in which he shot someone in an attempted murder, carjacked a random woman at gunpoint, crashed her vehicle, and then got in a shootout with police. He had been paroled in 2017, then re-arrested in 2018 for driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest and machine gun charges, and rearrested for the parole violation and held until January 2019. Then he was released again and had another court date scheduled for today.

After first trying to murder cops in a squad car, he burst into an NYPD precinct and shot officers, but ran out of bullets and immediately lay down on the floor and surrendered like a true coward
