Yeah, OK... now it all makes sense. :/
OIn the boomer generation it was things like television, transistors, Kodak, IBM, Intel etc.
The millennials have things like Facebook, lots of other internet related crap, Apps, the occasional coin, etc. Every generation has a way to survive, and every generation complains how hard things are, and how easy everyone before them... had it.
When ya boil oit all down, it's always the same... Hell, I bet the folks in the 1870's were bitching how easy the folks in the 1850's had it, in the US. If I knew the relative dates, I could say the same thing about generations before and after wheat farming in ancient Roman times. Or before that about generations before and after olive oil and wine producing. It's always the same, over and over.
No its not all the same, the data is already there for all to see.
In my country a house is nearly 4x harder to buy now than in the 80's, wages have risen by 55% but inflation has risen 160%
It is undeniably harder now to get ahead than 30 years ago.
We went from 10 year loans to 30 year loans.
We also now have a 10% tax on just about everything boomers never had to deal with.
