Yeah. They heard about FL and they decided instead of stopping the event out here they went full cop mode and they saved lives.

Our courts are slammed and our jails are full for dumbass reasons. Chase down the real bad guys and more people live and more tragedies are prevented

does mean you support decriminalization of drugs given that roughly 30-40% of inmates are in there on drug offenses? (non violent criminals)
LEO would lose their low hanging fruit though and civil forfeitures slush funds, but I agree with your basic premise of let police be police on real issues.

I'm for rehabilitation and decriminalization of addiction

I have very little tolerance for violence and think it's ridiculous we have people penned up for the dumbest of reasons while we allow those like the murderer/terrorist in this case showing sign after sign of being a threat

We put ankle trackers on people like they are animals for non violent offenses but we can't keep track of these jerkoffs?

Bad people do bad shit whether in the name of their God or not and one of the only ways I think we can actually do something that actually gets results is bettering our cops and allowing them to actually protect us by not having to waste time filling our cages with non violent people that don't threaten our people

Thanks for the reply, I tend to agree with you here.

Sucks that it takes such a big event for that kind of swift work to be carried out. If they didn't have to waste time on shit like $100 speeding tickets and busting people over $60 in pot their forces wouldn't be stretched so thin.

Perhaps the solution is not banning guns or building walls/groups of people but freeing up our law enforcement agencies to allow them to keep better track of violent/dangerous predators by stopping them from wasting so much of everyone's time and resources by controlling every little aspect of our lives which allows dangerous people like the one we are talking about to slip through the cracks.

Good police work stops these kind of tragedies just like it did in Cali.

Sounds interesting, what do you mean by freeing up Law Enforcement though, I think that freeing up gun background checks is reasonable - I heard they are still using paper documents because the NRA demanded they remain in the cave.

Hey, that we can agree on.

Ruining a kid's life for smoking some marijuana is a ridiculously stupid law.

In terms of being anti-violence though, do you think we should be stricter on those who commit brutal terrorist acts? I think being tougher on real harmful crime while being more lenient on the casual drug user would be a step in the right direction.

NBC News reporter Ken Dilanian brings us word that law enforcement officials may soon charge Noor Salman, who is Omar Mateen’s second wife, as an accomplice to murder.

It seems that Salman has told the FBI that she drove Mateen to the club several times in the days leading up to his attack. She also says she knew of his plans and tried to talk him out of it, NBC News reports. Salman also admitted that she was with Mateen when he went to buy ammunition and a holster, according to NBC News’ Tom Winter.

Permit forms of torture to extract information, go after their families, etc.

They would do the same or far worse to us, given the chance
