I was doing no carb, hence the no bun. It burns fat very fast. I was just making a point though. Yes one could easily just eat within 2000 or so calories a day and still lose weight at a healthy rate, given that the average fat ass burns 3000 calories just by existing. The way I saw it was being 70 pounds over weight was more unhealthy than losing weight fast.

So you lost a bunch of weight doing an unsustainable fad diet. People gotta live normal lives. Also, what were you, like 20? 25? You can eat a Buick at that age and just shit it out over the next three days.

whoa Skinned-salty meter giving off some seriously high readings. No Carb diets are hardly a fad and hardly unsustainable given some context. They work very well given that the person is also eating plenty of protein for energy and plenty of fruits and veg for fiber. Non sustainable for life sure but its hardly a crash diet on par with the water-cayenne-honey cleanse or other similar organ damaging diets.

When did we switch from tens of thousands of years of recorded history of "The poor starving masses" to "The poor who overeat five times the needed caloric intake until they resemble elephants"
Fat people gorge themselves in amounts of food that disgust me regardless of the nutritional content, lets be real here, fatties aren't eating the same portion sizes and magically ballooning due to a conspiracy of cola and junk food companies twirling their snidely whiplash moustaches. They're stuffing their pieholes until they expand to fill all the available space. We aren't discussing skeletal victims of poverty dying in our streets, the underprivileged don't line up for soup and wonder where the next meal will come from, they swipe a card and get five burgers and wash it down with syrup.

Food deserts are just fat apologism. Fat acceptance is an insidious and decadent subversion of cultural norms. Its enabled by political correctness, bleeding hearts and junk science.
We made serious attempts to quash smoking, and becoming at least partially taboo as a result. And its been a relative success. We need to quash obesity even more fervently

I remember the cigarette vending machines when I was a kid, and how every cool, sexy, or macho character in a movie used to smoke. Now it's rare to even find a character that smokes in movies and they're often put on the spot for it in movies they're in.

Let's not forget about lifestyle either, it isn't all a matter of irresponsible consumption. We're living increasingly sedentary lives.

Good Fad diet and Atkins will pop up. You want a balanced meal and not ignore an entire category of macromolecule.

I won't give up lipids or proteins either.

And I don't use a lot of salt in my cooking ;)

That depends on your weight loss goals and body fat %. If you're a 400 lb fatty looking to drop 150 lbs in 1.5 years to fit into a tux for your wedding not so much. If you're an overweight teen looking for a longterm healthy life plan then sure. Diet is really all about the context of the individual to me. im speaking of "diet" in the terms of a corrected meal plan with the goal of losing weight though, not "diet" in the sense of total food consumed. When i say its a good diet i mean for someone who's overweight not generally good advice.

Sophmore, junior, and senior year i dropped 15-20 lbs each year between football and wrestling season, which was between 2 weeks and a month. I can guarentee that a no carb diet is a hell of a lot more healthy than the "all iceberg lettuce" diet that i used to achieve that weight loss lol!

those cigarette machines were a godsend for underage teenagers. My friends would walk right into the bar where we would skateboard and buy them, nobody gave a damn.

I say we just take the plunge and move to Soylent Green. Should be plenty to go around in 'Murica.

sure, that'd be a huge step up from the 150,000,000 we kill in captivity every day
