Which is why I would support a minimum profit sharing with employees rather than a minimum wage. But the minimum wage we have now doesn't work, there are people who can't afford food and shelter without government assistance despite working full time and that needs to be changed.

If an employee increases the profit of the company by more than he is paid, he will be kept. You really ought to think about what you're saying. Just because costs can be cut doesn't mean the cut results in greater profits.

There was a study done by the Harvard School of Economics that said raising the wage of a McDonald's employee by a dollar would cause everything on the dollar menu to double. FUCK THAT.

Fine, companies can do that if it suits them. But I don't support government coercion.

Why not just raise minimum to 15-20 an hour?

I'm assuming that was calculated based on how much more McD would be spending on wages overall?
