Concern around ciggarette smoke and food are not the same in regards to their cancer causing properties since you're not going to be affected by the man sitting next to you eating Mc. Donalds or what have you.
It's not about what individuals put into their bodies and whether or not it involves a risk of cancer for the individual, but whether that risk extends to the people around them. There is no such thing as second-hand-obesity in a way comparable to second-hand-smoke.
In italic you suggest that (in logical argument) the comparison being originally made was false due to food not having any adverse effects on the person sitting next to them. (supporting claims that second hand smoke causes cancer)
In bold to make such a claim you need to be supportive of the same theory.
the only part which can absolve you from this all in this entire dispute would be the word "whether" in which case if you used in the literal sense then i retract all previous comments.
