why on earth are we packaging student loan debt payoff with corona virus response?

halting mortgage, car, and student loan payments and interest, ok i get that. but a payoff? just seems like taking advantage of a disaster to pass something they know otherwise wouldn't.

id save a lot of money too of course.

How about something to address the fact that homeless shelters are closed lol.

But real talk, nothing would stimulate the economy like addressing the student loan inflation bubble that is crippling the producers of an entire generation. If this bill is to stimulate the economy then student loan debt is the biggest cancer by far.

that's a strawman. as he said its not good and it will get worse. he's putting the rising numbers in context, that being that we're seeing an increase in testing that makes inflated numbers of infected change how the curve looks on a graph.

you've made like 5 "everything is fine" posts which honestly are just strawmans. healthcare systems in large cities will be overburdened, healthcare in low population areas could be too based on their lack of ICU placements and ventilators. but i dont see anything suggesting we'll see a true nationwide failure of the healthcare system, especially with more and more states enacting stay in policies and quarantining. we should approach a flat point in the curve over time, just like other nations.

but as he already asked to no answer:

its not a strawman.. NY says it needs medical capacity in scale of 50% of what it has now in 3 weeks. You think that is going to happen? WA has the fewest beds of any of these "hot spots"
Most nurses and Dr's don't even have proper PPE which means they will get quarantined. What then? again everyone is 2-3 weeks behind what is going to happen. Looking at the state of affairs today is not showing what is actually happening ground level.

Italy jumped back up again but its still quite less from the peak. Either way, I think it's safe to say that the past couple days seems to indicate that we hit an inflection point there. The main issue is that Hong Kong shows us that we have to be VERY careful about easing restrictions.

You just keep saying things, but not relating them directly to what Santara or I have said to show how we disagree. like he said straight up its bad, and will get worse. i said its bad, and will have regional serious issues. but both him and i are saying over time this will be dealt with.

so why is it you keep posting over and over as if we're saying it's not bad, and everything is fine? you're strawmanning.

Look, you stupid fuck. I didn't defend THE GOVERNMENT. I know that in your retard needledick world, opposing you means supporting Trump, but I'm defending the healthcare in the US, not the government. Try to keep up, moron.

holy shit you're mad. this is hilarious.

yeah, you not only denied facts to defend 'the healthcare' in the US, you also tried to downplay the massive incompetence in your government's response by suggesting the situation was similar to that in south korea, based on the flimsy 'argument' that one single metric is at this point. meanwhile you've completely ignored the context i provided to put that into perspective and try to make you understand how wrong you are, and rather went full ghot / snipa in terms of denial and personal butthurt over this...

Give one instance. Even just one.

I did not ADDRESS the government's incompetence, so I most certainly did not 'downplay' it. You know what else I said about South Korea? That it was entirely too late for the US to use their model to replicate their results.
