lol, you try to make it sound like this "war" ever was a conflict between two remotely evenly matched opponents, when in reality, you have a multi trillion dollar military force, funded by billions of dollars each year from the US, in possession of all the best and most expensive hardware available on this planet on one side, which has been out-slaughtering the lightly armed, ramshackle resistance to a decades long illegal occupation since the beginning, by a margin of over twenty to one, on the other side. it's literally shooting fish in a barrel...
again, all that does is create resentment and more violence down the road.
while there is an occupation, conflict is inevitable. there is no humane or peaceful way to imprison and deprive millions of people, who have done nothing wrong, of their basic rights and needs. as long as there is an occupation, there will be resistance, and it'd be absurd and dishonest to expect anything else.
