the bible is liturgical, it is meant for the Church not private interpretation for whatever your arbitrary understanding of words is

Only our interpretation lives matter? Bible mental gymnastics authority really convinced you up is down and bad is good. You can make up anything at this point.

What's next people need to donate sums of money for this translation by the nominated preacher. Come on in folks we are open for business!

You bring this up often and idk why you are against any individual working for their wages...

1 Timothy 5:17–18
“The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor… ‘The worker deserves his wages.’”

1 Corinthians 9:13–14
“…those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel.”

Galatians 6:6
“The one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.”

A pastor preaching the gospel accurately and devoting his/her time to honor the lord is in line with scripture.

A pastor preaching the gospel incorrectly, not honoring the lord, and using these wages for selfish gain is an issue and not in line with scripture.

You make this argument as if 100% of the church is a scam in this regard and is not an accurate representation of every pastor in the world.

so like. i remember he hung himself. other testimony his guts ruptured out in a fall? since we werent there can we reasonably combine the two stories?

he hung himself. after enough time the body begins to decay and also gets soft. it probably also smelled. someone cut rope body falls and ruptures

thats what i remember maybe you could post the scripture?
and remember the trick
if stories match to well its plagiarism
if they dont match well enough its contradiction

eye witness reports can vary wildly. cops have testified to this. the process turns into using all the reports and making a plausible timeline

This is from Matthew's gospel
Quote
Early in the morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people made their plans how to have Jesus executed. So they bound him, led him away and handed him over to Pilate the governor. When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders. “I have sinned,” he said, “for I have betrayed innocent blood.”

“What is that to us?” they replied. “That’s your responsibility.”

So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.

The chief priests picked up the coins and said, “It is against the law to put this into the treasury, since it is blood money.” So they decided to use the money to buy the potter’s field as a burial place for foreigners. That is why it has been called the Field of Blood to this day. Then what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: “They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price set on him by the people of Israel, and they used them to buy the potter’s field, as the Lord commanded me.”[/CODE]

and then in Luke's gospel it says

Quote
In those days Peter stood up among the believers (a group numbering about a hundred and twenty) and said, “Brothers and sisters, the Scripture had to be fulfilled in which the Holy Spirit spoke long ago through David concerning Judas, who served as guide for those who arrested Jesus. He was one of our number and shared in our ministry.”

(With the payment he received for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out. Everyone in Jerusalem heard about this, so they called that field in their language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood.)

Im not sure if you are aware of what is going on but the same event is described two different ways to fulfil two different messianic prophecies.

the field was bought in his name. body ruptured and guts spilled when his dead body was un-ceremonially dumped into the grave.

again you have no justification to make meaningful sentences with your worldview, there is no justification for truth or knowledge everything is just "useful survival delusions"

because you have 0 understanding of church history and make your own interpretation, I can't actually make anything up like you do because that would be heretical. the church has thousands of years of history, and you can read the church fathers and patristic writers on these exact things i'm discussing rather than just your private interpretation

if "truth" and "morality" are survival tricks and there is no objective good or right, most of the world is religious and most people who have kids are religious therefore it's the "correct" survival choice according to your own logic. it's hilarious how your worldview falls apart as you lash against it
