neither do I.
but the situation in germany and the united states cant be compared. guns are not widespread in germany, even most small-time criminals dont have guns. and germany is much more densely populated, so that the police will be there much more quickly and reliably than in rural america. overall, this means that private gunownership is much more necessary for self-defense in the US than in Germany.
thats why I support the rather tight gun laws here in Germany, while I at the same time support the 2nd amendment in the united states, even though this might look like a contradictory position.
I lived in Schweinfurt for just over two years and became friends with a lot of locals and even cross trained with your army, where we taught each other our weapon platforms and qualified on range with them to get a cool special award on the class A uniforms
I almost stayed. I remember getting in a lot of fist fights with Russians and Turks there though for talking to their girls. Lol. To be young and dumb again.
I went to the Love Parade in 98 and 99. Mayday 99. I got to visit a lot of other nations when I lived in Europe but Germany was my favorite. The people were so kind. When I broke my neck I was officially transferred to a German hospital for care and they treated me like family also. I remember a little furry man was my roommate he would always wear Speedos but he was very kind and he would bring me in home cooked food from his family. This family also brought me in reading material in English, compared to the Gunner on my tank crew who bought me a German Playboy.
