suddenly because of what? He literally says don't do it because it gives Biden a win is his reasoning, maybe if he wasn't such an idiot of a person and he could of stated what he doesn't like about the bill maybe it would make sense.

When/where did Trump call the proposed border deal a win?
In any case, he was absolutely right to oppose this deal once more details came out, like the provision that the president's expulsion authority would only get triggered when the annual number of illegal immigrants exceeds 5000/day (1.8million per year).

Well, I agree that this kind of petty political maneuvering is not a good reason to support or oppose any given bill. Nontheless, on the substance, Republicans were imho totally right to block this particular bill.
