the real irony is that Bezos could "fix homelessness" in the city for half the cost of what the tax was. there is no real fix, but the govt will spend 2x what they should on subsidies for people who shouldn't be living in the city that's cost of living is way over their means.

at least bezos could produce quality building materials for the hobos to make colonies out of, which will invariably happen no matter what the commies controlling the town try, instead of patched up tarps and scrap wood. christ he could probably house the entire homeless population in prefabricated mini houses for a 1/4 of the 48 million dollar net of the proposed tax. If i was bezos i'd do just that, then when the city claims he oversteps say, "so you're mad i'm housing homeless people? if you try and stop me i'm moving amazon to Alabama". then watch them squirm.
