People are being forced to choose between the jab or their job. Is this right to you, yes or no.
No, I don't think it's right. However, from a captalistic stand point it made sense. If vaccines lessen the risk for serious illness and people recover more quickly they will be more productive and cost the company less money.
Further more the mandate for a bussiness with 100+ people made sense as well. Do I think it's right? No, I don't but I think it was less about protection and more about how can we get people back to production and keep profits high without our work force dying out.
Even now with the current strain of covid, I think the CDC mandate of 5 days is way too short, again it's not about saftey, but production. Now many companies won't even pay an employee lost wages if sick with covid.
Hind sight is 20/20 many mistakes happened science changes and adapts as new information becomes available. I think the vaccines saved a lot of lives and the people who are so vehemently against them lack basic understanding on biology and microbiology.
Also, I recall someone mentioning a few pages back something about goverment mass productions of mask for citizens which would have been great. However with the anti mask movement in America it wouldn't do much. Further more most mask were in use by medical professionals. When I had to care for a covid ward of 24 patitents I can't even count the ammount of mask that I went through.
