being able to recycle the battery without throwing it into the wastelands of an impoverished African third world country.

Thought this was a good place to post the current quarterly GDP growth number of +0.6% after all the hysteria about the impending recession

Economy isn't great but it's far from apocalyptic. Wages are rising and that's getting checked by inflation but that also lowers debt which comes out as a win for everybody but banks

I bought a gallon of milk for $6.89 last night.

That being said my wages did not increase by ten or so dollars per week to cover the cost of milk. This is one product basically every family is spending an extra $500 dollars a year on in rural Texas.

One product. $500 a year more than a couple years ago.

You think families are drinking hundreds of gallons of milk a year? Even generously saying the cost of milk doubled from 3.50 to 7, an added cost of 3.50 is almost 150 gallons to get to $500.

Yes, I am factually stating that many families go through three galling of milk in a week.

I will also repeat this is literally one staple food product that has increased in cost for about $500 a year for many families.

One product.

Your stupid anecdote doesn't jive with reality though. Milk is one of those commodities where you can look up the prices across the country because its tracked. The issue might be you being in rural texas, not inflation. This is like people in Alaska or Hawaii complaining about the cost of goods being high.

My family did, but we were the exception.
