- non-argument
- well regulated militia
- amendment

- the original constitution gave voting rights to only 5% of the population (land-owning, tax-paying white males) - so any suggestion that those blokes got it "right", appealing to their authority, treating their judgement as some kind of divine truth, is absurd. i wonder what they would ACTUALLY say if they saw daily mass shootings in the US these days...

They deff got it right.
If alive today, they would instantly revolt from this perversion of the republic they worked so hard to build.

My question now is:

Where do rich people send their kids to school in America in order to avoid having them killed?

Abroad?

the founding fathers didnt even agree with each other, and their disagreement into 2 factions led to the 2 party system we have today. one side wanted strong state govts with a federal govt that did very little, the other side wanted a strong federal govt and states that did very little autonomously. so in essence at least half of the founding fathers would be happy with a strong federal govt and strong presidency like we have today, and the other half would be happy to see that we have states pushing abortion bans and educational curriculums that defy federal mandates.

you should read up on the founding fathers, its a very interesting subject.

on topic i dont think ANY of the founding fathers would be please to find out private citizens have a room in their house with 100 semi automatic guns and an entire wall of ammunition. and would zip back into the 1780s asap to change their wording of the 2nd amendment. and i say that as a gun owner who has WAY too many guns and ammunition.
