Nature doesn't create objective categories because nature doesn't have intention. Nature just is. Humanity attempts to divide nature into categories for the easiest possible explanation for the world around us, but its still entirely subjective to the human experience and the dominant culture of the time. The ancient greek philosophers, enlightenment scholars, WWII era scientists and modern man have all found various ways to divide up the world they saw around them, and you can go back and see how their own cultures and biases drove many of their observations. It's an iterative process to continually refine our observations in an attempt to reach unreachable objectivity.

There is no truly objective category as there's an infinite degree of nuance and complexity in the universe, and our attempts at defining things through subjective categorization is an attempt to instill a semblance of order and understanding in a chaotic world.

You do know the united states has more people in prison than any other country on earth right?
