It's the President's job to offer a nominee for the Supreme Court Position. Obama did his job, Trump will do his job. It's the Senate's job to determine whether the nominee is acceptable. They did their job under Obama, they'll do their job now.

Whether they do what you want them to is irrelevant. All too much of this conversation is just complete nonsense that boils down to nothing more than, "If I don't get my way, the system's broke." No, if either side is always getting their way, that's the indication the system is broke. FFS.

Meh, the bolded part is not really true. Objectively, Garland deserved a vote on the Senate floor, but McConnell didnt allow it out of political calculus (would have put a really toxic vote on the record of lots of vulnerable Republican senators).

People are stupid. "Criticize Mexico and racist!" "Criticize Islam and racist!" "Criticize CCP and racist!"

Mexico is a nation of 126 million people with all races represented.

Islam is a religion with multiple "sects" that includes over a billion worshippers, with again, all races represented.

CCP is a political party that leads (dictates to?) a nation. Race doesn't even matter, they bear the same scrutiny as any political leadership.

Also, tik tok is stupid, snapchat hasn't been used outside of pornhub hookups for years, and in general, these "trendy" apps are cancer.

Refusing to vote indicates where the vote would go. But even saying, "Not gonna vote" is making the choice. Choice is "not acceptable". Had Garland been nominated by Trump, would have have gotten in? I'm willing to bet it could have been voted no.

BTW, just for entertainment sakes, here's something from BB for you:

This is incorrect, and was demonstrated as such during Obama's term where they refused to confirm district judges despite openly admitting they had no issues with it and the judges passing easily once the vote actually got to the floor.

thats not what the conversation is about.
Senate under Obama 2016 changed the narrative about not give a vote over SCOTUS due to election year.
Same applies now they wont follow their own narrative.. I'm not talking about trump appointing.
talking about double standards

Yep. And in China, if you criticize Xi/the CCP -- you get 18 years.
