i frankly would prefer this joe over all smiles joe of the Obama era. sometimes voters looking for a cheap sound byte need to be told they're full of shit. and of the candidates we started with on stage Biden is one of the least likely to gun grab en masse, if not the least likely. Yang had that disastrous "plan", Beto had his shitshow moments, and we all know how the further left progressives feel on the issue.

stupid people just all assume all democrats will pass a bill to take all their guns australia style, when reality shows even with full power they pass ineffectual ammo bans at worse.

at this rate hes gonna take too far one day and kirk out on a protected class or get bamboozled into making fun of someone he shouldn’t by mid-April.

will it damage his campaign probably, should it probably not

how funny would it be if he gets attacked at every public appearance, he cusses out every attacker, and it makes him rise like 2016 Trump?

Maybe its just me but that very clearly comes off as dementia anger, not just someone being a real person.

i’d find it funny, if only for the entertainment value. if anyone has shown that it’s possible to overcome your own unforced errors it’s Trump.

i just see him really stepping into a pile of crap. Wouldn’t put it past Barnie’s campaign or even the Trump campaign (later in the year) to have some kid call Biden a name and Biden does what he usually does lol

The video is even funnier. After Joe tells the guy he's full of shit, one of his aids tries to step in to end the interaction, only to have Joe condescendingly say "No, hush...hush..

It's not that big of a deal, Trump's certainly said worse, albeit it's another example of if Trump did do that, the MSM would talk about for a full news cycle. tRuMp TaLks DoWn To AiD, aLSo HatEs wOmEn. Then again, these are the same people who constantly question Trump's mental fortitude, only to ignore what has become Biden's daily gaff of forgetting what state he's in, confusing his wife for his sister, forgetting his campaign website, etc etc.

The same people who criticize Trump's behavior towards women, only to describe Clinton cheating on is wife by fucking around with a 22-year-old intern in the White House 9 different times as "it was a BJ, who cares'

But yeah, watching Biden speak at his 1/3rd sold out high school gyms has been pretty funny. There's no question he's....getting old.

Honestly, while entertaining and funny as hell, I find Biden's inclination to solve every interpersonal conflict with tough talk a la "let's go outside and I whoop your ass" to be inappropriate and concerning. Coming from a senile and not exactly imposing 77-year old, this kind of tough guy talk is unintentionally funny and quite sad at the same time. I agree with excellence that it will get him in trouble sooner rather than later.

Anyway, perhaps Biden only has to win the primary against Bernie. Once he has mathematically clinched the nomination, if his mental health situation really becomes untenable, he can drop out citing unspecified "health concerns" and write an sms....

Very real chance of that. or very real chance that this was the biden that was "real" all along and dementia is just causing him to be less calculated and hide it.

yeah this. every time Trump countered someone punching at him first during the 2016 election cycle it was full-blown news coverage for days

it also got a lot of clicks and viewers to tune in so yeah.

MSM seems to be having a field day with this Biden outburst. It likely wont get the runtime or number of callbacks a Trump outburst would, but they're loving it all the same.

attention is mostly good during a crowded primary. once it's a two-person race, other qualities matter more: enthusiasm of a candidates' base (Trump's was skyhigh in 2016, Biden's is tepid at best in 2020), their personality, polarization, compatibility of their platform with the rest of the party, whether their gaffes and scandals are consistent with their brand (Trump 2016) or contradicting it (Biden being a mean asshole to anyone who dares to challenge him counteracts his pitch as the sane, moderate "unity candidate" who can heal the country).
