Imagine being such a cuck that you think Ghot has intelligence knowledge or a spine, and is presenting facts and making logical arguments.

So we knew what was going to happen in the house - check.

So we know what is going to happen in the senate - in progress

What do we do after the senate punt's this like Ray Guy?

ISO opinion.

move directly into "trump evaded justice" narratives for the 2020 election. oh yeah, and "the democrats are hunting witches, he dindu nuffin" narratives from the other side.

honestly it makes me a bit queezy to think that most of the election cycle could be wasted on what Trump did or didnt do in Ukraine, rather than actual policy. an entire referendum election on Trump with no policy.

Yeah, i'm a bit jaded by this situation TBH. We all knew the outcome before this thing started - where each side stood, lines in the sand, etc.

A campaign cycle centered around actual policy would be a refreshing change.

To me the worst part is the incredulity. and it doesnt matter whether it's legit or feigned.

in 2015 people could act surprised that republican voters were willing to flat out ignore Trump's glaring personal and social issues. his insults. his # of marriages. his infidelity. even his dog whistling to the KKK.

in 2020 people talking with the "how can you people ignore this" incredulous tone are either fucking stupid or disingenuous themselves.

if we have an entire election cycle of "this is your nominee people, will you vote for a man who once said ______, or cheated on X wives, or was impeached?" type debates its going to be nauseating. and also playing into Trump's hands.

I would actually argue that Trump's 2016 campaign was, at its core, about policy.

I'm having a hard time seeing any angle that doesn't benefit Trump's reelection. Dems are playing into his hand, playing his game.

All Trump has to do, IMO OFC, to win in 2020 is the following:

1) Stay as quiet and "private" as possible - don't spout off on social media. Stay relatively tame (the hardest thing for him to do)
2) Campaign on the economy and direction of the country - real basic, milk toast bland stuff.
3) Let the dems tear each other apart until the one candidate emerges. They're all extremely flawed in one way or another - it'll be easy for Trump to win debates against any of them IMO.
4) Make a plea to the middle of the isle that Dem's have gone off the deep end with radical views on healthcare, social programs, taxes, ETC.
5) Suppress any new scandals that pop up, if any. I'm sure they'll be some ha.

every campaign (except Kamala Harris') at it's core is about policy.

but i was talking more about defense than offense.

agree'd, especially with the bold. and remember to say "hasn't that been great?" a lot in that cute little trump voice he does.
