What does this remind me of? Oh yeah, the 2016 presidential race. :D

the fight for control of the house is still up in the air. there are like 50 toss-up races, so that even slight changes in the national environment can have a big effect.

And the BS begins....

Georgia candidates decry plan to close voting sites in mostly black county

The two-member local elections board is expected to vote on Friday on a proposal to shutter seven of nine polling sites in rural Randolph County, located in southwest Georgia, where roughly 60 percent of the 7,800 residents are black.

Here's the real kicker. In Randolph County, Georgia, both mail voting and advanced voting are permitted.
So it seems the BS fountain is cranked up to full-on in Georgia.

even if there are ways to work around it, the question stil remains why those voting sites are shut down specifically in this county, and if the same happens in other counties as well.

that liberals will hyperventilate at this and blow it out of proportion is obvious; but lets not pretend like systematic discrimination and disenfranchisment of black voters in the south was completely unheard of either.

Voters suppression is a treason to your own country and "values".
Supporting that black people would have to use mail or "advanced voting" while others would not is a blatant act of segregation.

Well according to a .pdf I downloaded that was a letter to the election board asking the same questions.... 7 of the 9 voting sites were not handicap accessible, and the cost to make them so was not deemed worth it.
Remember we're only talking about one county here.

The pdf also explained that the longest anyone would have to travel if they insisted on doing so, was 10 miles. And that was WITH 7 of 9 voting locations closed.

This will probably be overshadowed by the Manafort & Cohen news, but this is significant:

A federal grand jury on Tuesday indicted California GOP Rep. Duncan Hunter and his wife on charges of improperly using hundreds of thousands of campaign funds to pay for personal expenses, including family vacations and dental work.

Hunter is also accused of filing false campaign reports and wire fraud.

The late-August indictment is a huge problem for California Republicans. Unless Hunter were to pass away in the next 10 days - Aug. 31 - there is no way to replace him on the ballot this November, according to the California Secretary of State's office. There is also no write-in option under state law.

House republicans are just the classiest, most law abiding citizens ever![/sarcasm] thanks for the free seat!

Hunter was polling well, too. CA-50 is historically Republican. This could very well swing a House seat for Dems.

Yep. I'll gladly take it. Hunter was just on Real Time not too long ago i believe, he seemed like a pretty level headed republican surprisingly, at least in today's climate. Always had a stupid grin on his face though that made it look like he was up to no good lol.

And from HuffPo:

"Pennsylvania state Sen. Scott Wagner, the republican candidate to unseat Gov. Tom Wolf (D) in the Keystone state, joked Friday that the Russian government would help him win this November."

Yeah, treason is real funny these days lel.
