You are outraged by those things so you think America is also outraged. But I think a lot of voters aren't looking to be outraged... they'd like a political environment that's not as weird and angry. And you know which ticket brings the normie/good vibes?

America is tired, has been for awhile of wokeism, unaccountability, media narrative steering, same old same old. That's why these forces are giving up so much ground now, not only in the US but globally, across the western world. People look at that garbage of a display in the Olympics and it's more of a collective fuck off with trying to normalize this deviancy by having it in your face everywhere and anywhere.
Woke liberalism is losing ground across the Western world right now because the past few years have exposed their policies for the failure that they are. Real incomes have declined in spite of unprecedented, debt-fueled government spending, energy and gas prices have gone through the roof, the Green Agenda has only made things more unaffordable, open borders are a burden rather than a boon, restorative justice and decriminalization policies have made the streets less, rather than more safe, the "peace through weakness"-approach to foreign policy has made the world a more dangerous and war-torn place, etc. pp.
