This is LIKELY voters and immediately after the RNC so it should contain a convention bounce for Trump.

I'm keeping my hope down so if election night goes the way I'd like it to the relief can wash over in an epic wave. And if it doesn't, I won't get crushed.

The Fox News polls have always been among the worse polls for Trump, but still... yikes.

What's really weird is that pollsters seem to fall into two alternative realities in recent weeks: in one, the race is tightening, stands ad Biden +6ish nationally and Biden +2-3 in the swing states. In the other, the national race stands at Biden +9-10 and we're headed toward a blowout.

Yea, it will be interesting. A lot of pollsters might end up the laughing stock similar to Rasmussen.

Yeah, the data last time wasn't actually bad, it's just that the polls swung so fast with the Comey letter nobody believed them.

Taking that into account... if they factored in more Trump supporters the polls could actually over-represent Trump's polling lol

Still, Covid is a thing, so I have no idea how this is gonna turn out. I wish I could take a nap until December.

Youre just finding the most biased polls and getting a hard on every time. Vegas has them at 50/50.

I think it's gonna be rough until January. I just can't imagine the Trump administration doing a peaceful transition. Too many staffers will try and sabotage the incoming staff in the West Wing.

Honestly, my biggest reason for voting for the Dems this time around is codifying a lot of norms. I don't want any person, regardless of party, to abuse the Executive.

I'm just gonna point something out about science real quick.

This isn't as uncommon as people think in science. Measurements are notoriously hard to make, and results aren't always reproducible except in very very specific circumstances. So when people think science is a fool-proof method, they're wrong. Usually this kind of thing only gets settled after A LOOOOOT of debate and data collecting across many labs. For instance, to correct global temperature measurement for satellite orbital drift required a decade of debate and measurement between two camps who had competing ideas of how to correct it. We genuinely didn't know if global warming was happening until this data was figured out. That was in the 70's though, and we've known for a long time that global warming is happening, but the point is that things we take for granted are often only there after decades of fighting and correcting each other.
