In primary if it goes against him he will still run as an independent and GOP will be screwed

I'm not sure about the legal technicalities but sore loser laws exist with the intent of that being prevented.

of course it includes Kasich... he is only "favorable" because he has had next to zero negative attention. Its not rocket surgery.
