it should. but who the actual fuck cares in a legal sense whether some bigoted RNC official paid off a playmate to keep their relationship a secret?
stuff like that is extremely minor in terms of violation of the law, but makes the RNC/the GOP look really bad. if similar investigations into DNC officials and lawyers took place, we would certainly discover similar misconduct.
what I'm angry about is that the Mueller investigation is used as a justifcation for investigations that have far larger political than legal consequences. the original mandate of the Mueller investigation is abused to obtain legal breadcrumbs, which are then used to inflict significant political damage to trump and his party. this has nothing to do with neutrality or non-partisanship anymore. with this course, Mueller and the FBI are on track to politicize and discredit themselves.
I don't care in a legal sense. It should make the RNC and GOP look bad, lol.
I reject the Trump cult talking point that everyone in politics is equally corrupt, or has a myriad of crimes they've committed in the past. It's nonsense intended to muddy the waters because the man you voted for is a criminal scoundrel.
So far I haven't seen any good evidence that the Mueller investigation has gone off the rails at all. Read the mandate, if Mueller finds additional crimes, he's not going to just ignore them. He'll either pursue those crimes himself, or refer them to a US attorney's office.
