A CNN source told HuffPost that the town hall was intended to give participants a chance to ask a question, but Haab wanted to read an “extensive” speech. Colton’s father, Glenn Haab, declined to have his son participate after the network refused to let his son read the full speech, according to the source.

Glenn Haab told HuffPost that a CNN producer told him Colton’s speech ― which consisted of an opening statement, three questions and closing remarks ― was “too long,” and that Colton would have to stick to asking one question.

The elder Haab said he told the producer that Colton wouldn’t read “one short question” without the option of first presenting the audience with “extremely relevant” background information.

Looks like the kid wanted to go on a rant and CNN wouldn't let him. Fake news Colton, fake news.

I remember the days when I was intellectually lazy and just saw the source and steered clear. Its hard work to actually analyze work on it's own merits rather than it's source. A lot of people aren't willing to do hard work, like thinking and reading and stuff.

Are you claiming HuffPost is lying about what the kid's father said to them? Or are you delusional yourself in thinking that telling the kid to only ask one question is scripting the event?

let's use a bit of logic. if you were preparing potential question askers for this event would you not ask them all what their prepared question is? (already going to sound tinfoil alarms im sure) Would you not make sure that multiple people dont have the same or nearly the same question? (WEEEEEOOOO WEEEOOO the tinfoil alarms sound) Would you not then try to council them to differentiate questions from each other? (OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG)

there's clearly some spin here going on by the right, and clearly CNN wasn't all that interested in a fair unbiased policy discussion. jumping the shark on some of the details ive seen is as shameful as a typical HuffpoOpinion article.
