Ukraine is losing everywhere on the ground. With their counterattacks they recapture some ground to lose it again to the Russians later. They haven't re-captured a single fortress city - those fortresses that Ukraine would never lose :bonk:

Ukraine has suffered massive blackouts and fuel crisis for years. Zelensky regime is still in power.

Can you do the math?

Simply wrong or lying, as usual.

Ukrainian forces have recently advanced in the Oleksandrivka direction. Ukrainian units have sporadically reclaimed ground in areas east of Zaporizhzhia.

By conducting long-range drone and missile strikes against Russian oil refineries, airfields, and military logistics infrastructure, Ukraine aims to cripple Moscow's financial capabilities and hinder its ability to supply front-line troops without needing to physically retake all occupied land simultaneously.

I really don't see food shortages in a country as vast and as sparsely populated as Russia. And I would assume that Russia will eventually figure out a way to protect its refineries. There's only a limited number of them, they're static and super high value targets, like, come on, plastering all of them with abundant air defense can't be that hard. Which leaves Ukraine with only roads, bridges and other small-scale parts of the logistics network as their target - far less effective and lower value than direct hits on refineries.

I anticipate Ukraine to continue pestering Russian logistics and oil export capabilities, but these direct hits on refineries will eventually end.

Lol. OK. Pootin should put you on staff, like come on, why hasn't pootin plastered all of his refineries with air defense already?

Brilliant!

Damaging refiners is designed to reduce the availability of finished products (gasoline, diesel, etc.) while international oil flows are sitting at record highs for Russia. They will continue to export at record highs as the world is hungry for Russian oil (which by the way is a similar sour blend that typically flows through Hormuz and is in high demand now, particularly across all those Asian refiners setup up for medium sour grade). I was thinking about this and there's a way for Russia to get around it. They can export oil to third parties (India, China) and under some deal, whether it is discounted future oil or whatever, they can import the finished product from the same places that serve as their primary export vectors.

At that point Ukraine is not going to dare strike Chinese, Indian, Kazakhstan, Turkey fill in the blank on those territories. That's why in reality it is likely a short lived and only partially effective strategy for Ukraine.

Wrong? Lying? Where did you list the fortress cities that Ukraine has taken back

And I thought Nord Stream sabotage was going to achieve what you're claiming in the rest of your post. When was that, 2022? Was it a big fail and achieved the exact opposite, raising energy costs for the entire EU and Germany in particular? :o

Big fat capital LOL for Said ofc

Nord Stream was about killing the idea of Russo-European cooperation. Drone strikes are about killing Russia's ability to fight today. They are not the same thing, and the latter is militarily unsustainable for Russia if it continues.

#Djunior some day will no longer be at the junior table, and will be allowed to sit with the smart adults in the room. Most likely much later, after he finally admits Russia has lost in ukraine.

Hey Djunior, how did your country do in the world cup?

Just curious. Thx.

This strategy hinges on Hormuz staying closed long-term, though. As soon as global oil prices come back down to earth, Russia's oil revenue will plummet. And the whole "send crude to refineries in India/China, then reimport the gasoline to fuel our troops" scheme will no longer be economical.

Perhaps if you believe the US did it. The US had stopped NS2 for that reason. Ukraine has another motive and that is simply (trying to stop) Russia's cash flow.
