no man, I am not actively seeking confirmation for my predetermined opinion.
just to name an example: once per day, I am reading the news of the four leading german newspapers. two of them with a conservative lean, two of them with a liberal lean. all of them considered to be high quality press. (for those who know them: welt, FAZ, süddeutsche, zeit.)
what I am reading on those websites far more often confirms than refutes my view of things. the opinion pieces/op eds I read on the two conservative-leaning sites more often convince me than those on the two left-leaning ones.

despite the left-leaning sites appealing less to me, I still keep reading them to keep my news intake as unbiased as possible. moreover, I am not actively reading far right fringe sites like breitbart or its german counterparts.

That's actually quite commendable.. A bit more on topic; you're talking here with 3 lefties here, who see the metoo wave to be partially a witch hunt, making ppl say that a more sensible discussion can be had in a few years time.

Whoever the plaintiff is should just be removed from w/e office or position they hold.
"Blocking" is allowed on every forum I've ever been on. I would assume other folks are allowed to block people w/o get sued.
