Pretty easy to label more than half the population as "communists" to try and discount their opinions, but in a few short years they will be back in charge and hopefully gerrymandering fixes will mean they stay in charge forever :D
Quick question for all the "shall not be infringed" nonsense supporters.
What about all those other lines in the constitution that got changed?
Are the founding fathers only infallible on the point of gun rights?
Do you think the founding fathers saw a future where any 13 year old could get their hands on a gun that could kill 30 people in a quick 20 minute stroll through a cafeteria?
Personally i think they would be disgusted with what america has become.
Apparently there was supposed to be 17 amendments to make up the bill of rights but only 12 made it past voting, were the other 5 amendments infallible?
The most hilarious thing imo is that amendments are literally changes. The constitution was amended. And other amendments have been rescinded since (like the Prohibition). So that's not impossible either.
But constitutional change needs to be enforced by societal changes. And I don't think the 2nd amendment is going to change any time soon because of that.
