The reason is very simple. Disapproving of Biden means disapproving of status quo politics by and large. Disapproving of Trump means you don't want Democracy to end.One of those things is much more motivating against that candidate.


Trump was actually ahead in most polls prior to October 7th and fell back to even in the immediate aftermath. Biden's share of the vote now is roughly in line with where it was pre-Gaza, whereas Trump's is higher.

No one outside the left-wing echo chamber buys the bold. What's motivating is a serious dissatisfaction with the status quo. Biden is the status quo, just as Trump was in 2020. A lot can change between now and election day, but Axelrod is right, it's not looking great from our current vantage point.

The last couple pages really show the disfunction of American politics. Biden held overly responsible for inflation, Trump's pre-COVID economy representing his whole economic record, Trump's insanity being completely memory holed, Biden's support for Israel being held against him by the left...

I think American voters have always been mostly ignorant but we're approaching a time where too many are ignorant and crazy. That combined with the Trump personality cult, increased negative partisanship, social media, etc.... this trajectory is not looking good.

Pretty sure most people know Biden has his script and he kind of has to stick to it. Trump and all those gop idiots have nothing but their insanity. Biden has influencers lol. Prime example would be Tay sway told all her fans to vote. You me and everyone knows she ain’t voting for trump or any other pos from the fucked to death pile of burned shit that is the gop. I doubt any of her fans will either.

Trump caught on a phone call with local MI electors pressuring them to not verify the results. The MAGA TDS faction won’t care but could imagine Sleepy Joe doing this. R would have social media strokes
