So drug use on the part of the mother, or other form of negligence that results in death of the fetus would then be involuntary manslaughter.

You should look up states that actually have done this. It has happened before. Womem have been arrested for miscsrriages.

It seems like some people do think miscarriages are involuntary manslaughter. And I mean if you classify abortion as murder, that isn't a far-fetched conclusion at all.

You do realize miscarriages are extremely common and don't just happen because a woman took drugs or alcohol?
