Genes are not the sole determinant of outcome for a human. Nurture > nature.
I didn't say they were the only factor. It's just that we can control environment relatively easily. Whereas genes are fixed and persist throughout a person's entire life and there is no way to change that. If we only focus on early life experience, the home environment, upbringing and education, we are missing a huge part of it.
You also can't say nurture is more important than nature. It's a mere personal belief that has no basis in science.
