wrong and (intentionally or ignorantly) misleading: in switzerland, people who have been trained to competently and responsibly handle a firearm in the army (military service there is mandatory) get to keep theirs. they have strict ownership rules and a competent (mental) health care system.

they are also a massive outlier when the general rule of thumb is: fewer guns -> fewer mass shootings (unsurprisingly). many countries have successfully reined in mass shooting events through strict gun regulation.

so? you didnt say anything against my statement

the facts remain, if somebody really wants to hurt others he will find a way

its pretty easy to get a firearm here as well so what are we talking about?

i will agree with points you made about the US in another post though

yes, it debunks your lazy "argument" that an outlier in terms of guns per capita to mass shootings ratio in the western hemisphere somehow "proves" it's not a gun problem. it clearly is. again, plenty of countries have successfully curbed mass shooting events through gun legislation. stop being so dishonest / ignorant.

its still not a firearm problem, in switzerland every random dude has an assault rifle at home and nothing happens

Really bad comparison. Swiss has highter firearms homicide than average EU, life standards are not the same at all than US, and finally you have to present identity, and the weapon has to be registered. Same for ammo.

republican legislators and their npc supporters: do everything in their power to make it impossible for authorities to even THINK about restricting gun access to mentally unstable people. whenever someone DARES to err on the side of caution, the whole gun nut / "libertarian" / tyranny crew is up in arms (pun intended) about the "orwellian" state of affairs, the overreach, thought police, the tragedy and certain descent into an oppressive dictatorship that inevitably follows taking guns away from nutjobs...

after another mass shooting: what have authorities / teachers / parents / political opponents done wrong? it's not the guns, someone else messed up, it's anyone's fault but mine or the policies i support
