Well I think its a major failing of society if any citizen is denied life saving medical care because they can't afford it, and it should be one of the fundamental responsibilities of a government to provide it universally, like police, a military, public works, etc
But there's a big difference between how a society structures its access to services for the indigent, and a society that chooses to start restricting access to services to people based on immutable traits they despise.
It would be nice if America could have universal, government-run healthcare sector that cuts out the middlemen and clamps down on the egregious markups and waste
But when I favor a national, socialized healthcare system, I didn't really want a
national socialist healthcare system. I don't want to get a $50,000 bill for life-saving covid treatment, but I also don't want to have to take a DNA test and verify the race of my grandparents before they'll give it to me
