Republicans have been conditioned for years to defend Trump, whatever the charge. People who attack Trump are RINOs or NeverTrumpers. They are enemies.

So, if Trump runs in the primary, somehow magically voters(and Trump cult propagandists in the media) are going to become entirely different people? Are we supposed to believe there's a candidate who can stay in Trump's good graces while still beating him in the primary?

Not to sound like a dick but this all seems insanely obvious to me. People who disagree think we live in a world where Trump's horrible actions have some serious negative influence on his support. They don't.



I agree. But anyone who becomes the Republican nominee has a decent chance to get elected, and Trump is the clear favorite to be the nominee.
