So it seems like the Biden trend in the suburbs is holding pretty strong. Hispanics (mainly Cubans, Colombians, and Venezuelans) are pulling hard for Trump it seems.

Cubans, a traditionally Republican-leaning constituency, had moved toward Democrats in 2008 and 2012. They were already very pissed off and disillusioned by Obama's soft stance on the Castro regime during his second term, but in 2016, they also didnt trust Trump who had run a very anti-immigration campaign and was a wildcard on foreign policy. Therefore, they largely folded in 2016 and did not give Republicans the support they need out of them to keep the margins in SE Florida close enough. The true story of Florida in 2016 is that Trump did so well in the rest of the state that he won it despite getting butchered in the Miami metroplex.

With Trump taking a hardline stance on Castro, Maduro and socialism in general, with him not turning out to be Hitler 2.0 who deports all hispanics, and with Democrats embracing socialism and unrest in the streets, Cubans are finally coming home to the GOP in 2020, offsetting the gains Biden made along the I-4 corridor.

Lol, we posted the same thought at the same time. ^^

The bottom line for the bigger picture, however, is that the suburban rebellion against Trump is real, and he wont have Cubans to offset this bleeding in states like GA/NC/AZ or even PA. Like I've been saying repeatedly on this forum over the past weeks: the idiosyncratic Cuban-factor might bail Trump out in Florida; I'm more bullish on him winning that state than GA/NC/AZ, and it might well end up to the right of them despite coming from a more purple baseline.
