Even flashbangs, which are nasty as hell, would likely have ended with an officer not shot in the thigh, and Taylor not dead.
It was an incredibly poorly handled warrant. As to other parts of the discussion:
If the warrant was obtained falsely, that's a different form of crime, not related to murder, and the death of Taylor would have no bearing on it anymore than the officer shot in the leg. The only real question here to my mind is why they failed to execute the warrant in the manner outlined by the warrant itself?
It would be like being granted permission from the EPA to capture a Polar Bear to move it to a more suitable environment, with clear instructions that the bear be tranquilized from extreme distance while it's sleeping, and instead shooting a tranq at it within 3 feet while it's charging you and complaining you got mauled.
I was thinking about this today and actually considered "Maybe they knew it was just the girlfriend's house so justified skirting the no-knock"
not sure how that works out in the facts TBH - and also, how was the raid executed on the other residence - was it also a quasi-no-knock?
in my personal experience. If you're executing a "no-knock" search warrant. You need to immobilize the occupants before they realize what the fuck is even happening

The new normal:You can have the police stream on one monitor, a CS:GO twitch stream on the other and you might mix up which is which.
better yet, the good twitch protest streams on one. D2 bots on the 3rd. And live CS:S matches on main
