Doesn't make it the official language. Canada has two official languages, which is why you see English and French on signs, documentation, and other things all over Canada. The US has no official language, so they can't mandate stuff be in any specific language (nevermind that pesky Constitution and all).

In order to be active politically in this country you need to understand the constitution.
