Passing on genes is not selfish it's literally what every organism strives to do, from an amoeba to a tree to a mammal. You can choose to live your life however you see fit and that's totally fine, but my man, when you're 55 and you look and feel old and you feel mortality approaching and your materialistic things feel empty to you i hopefully you don't regret the choices you made when you were younger.
