The USA's foreign policy is a joke, but even the fact that we're discussing this is just a red herring from your side. My point was, and is: the USA's military actions on foreign soil have a ridiculously low rate of success, and is not something that Americans should be boasting about. The American involvement in "saving" South Korea from communism is quite a small achievement when you compare it to the lives lost elsewhere -- and even inside the USA -- because of the USA's military trigger-happiness.

The GDP per capita of the US is far higher than yours so the people don't need as many handouts. In addition, as a far richer country the tax revenues are higher so interventionist policies are possible.
