For the US, I think if they wanted to add more rules and possible restrictions to voting, they need to at least make it mandatory. That way it would help prevent "skewed and inaccurate" conclusions drawn from it.

More and more people would just be lazy or not care about voting and either side would try to capitalize on this. (Not nice both sides are scum anyway)

ID laws are proven to affect inner city dwellers disproportionately, they are proven to affect poor rural populations as well. the kind of places blacks are found disproportionately. sadly 2 "disproportionates" isn't subtraction, canceling each other out, the effect is multiplicative.
