Remind me again which party wants to take the most money from people.

Most? Nice qualifier

They both take money and redistribute it, the difference is only in direction.

And it has been going up up up. Taste the trickle down.

The natural order is for capitalists to accumulate more wealth through market action. That's somewhat concerning policy-wise, but it isn't Republicans redistributing the wealth.

Democrats are just as guilty of redistributing to business. Pharma. Trial laywers. Hollywood. Unions.

Supply side economics works, just not as well as it is hyped.

afaik that's not a dem/rep thing explicitly

from what i've seen of the pharmaceutical lobby, i'd argue that lobbyists in general effectively write the laws that affect various industries with members of congress existing as necessary tools to get things done

The question is, why do our industries have such a big hold of our government? Aside from the obvious $$$.

I believe the American Republic is not only gone, but we have moved to what I call Corporate Capitalism.
Where what is good for the Corporations ( the upper 1%, the mega corp's, multinationals, ect) is good
for everyone, where companies like Walmart can pollute, and nothing is done about it.

Citizens United Ruling, which really wasn't a ruling, as the entire thing was fabricated in a different ruling about something else completely. A coup.
