...you totally ignored what I posted ! There are people in this thread who have stated that they believe it is okay to expose children to pornography . Do you have an opinion on that or are you going to try and change the subject of my post #166 again .

Are you afraid to take a legal or moral stand on this ?

That isn't the topic at hand. Quite frankly, I don't care, but I'll respond anyways, even if you're going to totally dodge my comment and throw red herrings. The fact of the matter is that it is not the governments place to intrude. Legislation can not take the place of the parents' responsibility.

As for exposing children - I think 18 is an arbitrary age. I am not acquainted with the psychological side, and I'm not aware of what negative results could occur in the long run. I would side with the individuals that suggest that if the parent allows it, so be it - but at what age should it be permitted? Surely there is a difference between an 8 year old and a 16 year old in that regard.

Some dont believe in any form of sheltering.
If it isnt ok for our children we really shoudnt be doing those sort of things as adults either!

Just because someone of us believe in freedom of speech/information, doesn't me we support exposing children to porn.

You should stop conflating government regulation and parental guidance.

...you might want to reread the entire thread and see if you have the moral fortitude to speak out against those who do .

I love it, you continue your streak of totally ignoring anything to which you do not have an immediate answer by responding to a tiny fragment of the comment. I still want an answer to:

It is the responsibility of the parents to prevent their children from accessing it if the parents decide to get internet.

Nobody is forcing them to have internet access - nor are they forcing their children to use it.

as well as the remainder of the other.

I'm still waiting for him to explain how it's harmful for a child to see porn.

The second amendment ensures that no one will take my kids. The first makes sure they'll watch all the porn they want. I guess you hate freedom. Or perhaps your taking a traditional christian view that sex and anything associated with it is evil, how ignorant. Better make a law against children pooping or maybe make them wear a locking skirt so they can never see their own privates until their 18.

...this is an expression of a serious deviance and almost the height of immorality . You may think the courts wouldn't take your children for this but I assure you they would .

Just ask him in a simple single-sentence question that uses 3rd grade vocabulary. He doesn't have the attention span to respond more than 1 at a time.

Actually I don't have kids yet, but when I do, I'd love them enough to fight a state that tried to take them away. If you can't relate to that I guess you didn't love your children like my family loves each other.
