It's called the truth kid .

One of the basics of law is the right to include and exclude ( discriminate ) as society deems important and valid .

Based on what? / please elaborate.

Marriage between men and women provide benefits that are necessary for society to prosper. You don't get these same benefits from a marriage between men and men.

While I support the idea's that gays should have recognized unions like marriage (or marriage itself?) it doesn't make sense to provide the same benefits to married men and men that we give to married men and women.

So gay couples who adopt, pay taxes, etc. don't contribute anything positive to society?

EDIT - Or are you referring exclusively to reproduction?

It's called common sense , one of the two basics of western law .

It is where we get the terms common law and common weal or common good .

How can't society prosper without these benefits? If anything, it makes it easier to have children and THAT's what needs to be stopped. Nobody should get benefits for exclusivity. Getting married doesn't seem to be an accomplishment worthy of savings.

reproduction first and foremost,

second is a stable environment for children to grow up in

theres no basis for either of those arguments since not every married couple intends on reproducing, and theres no solid evidence that children will grow up inappropriately in a homosexual household
