agreed, as well as number of partners by gender over time. women have been increasing that number a lot more recently, and men i think are lagging behind in the increase. but thats just gut feel.

Back in the day when I was young, we were fucking a lot. Nowadays, there is more casual sex via tinder and such, but there's also much higher rates of singledom. I think there are stats showing that on average, young folks these days are having less sex than back in the 90s and 00s.

I would be really cautious with any study about social behavior and interpersonal relationships which was conducted during, or shortly after the pandemic. Another interesting data point from the article:




So at least until the pandemic, the rates of sexlessness didn't differ that drastically. Those 10% difference can easily be explained by 1.) a structural male surplus of around 3-5%, 2.) the tendency of women to date and marry slightly older men, coupled with declining birth rates, and 3.) with more men not bothering with the dating market because the baseline effort a guy has to put into it to have any realistic chance at success is significantly higher than for the girls.

It's actually. In a big city, you're pretty much left with online dating. Other ways to approach a woman you'd like to pursue have become really problematic for legal and social reasons.
When mem join online dating apps at a young age mostly, they're mosty ignored by a bigger portion of female population, about 80% unless they're good looking, well built and rich from the very start. They try hard and struggle sometimes for a year or so until they totally give up on dating apps.
Enter your average girl who'll look above average between 15 - 27 with some makeup. They're instantly flooded with personal messages from all sides. Of course, if you have the choice, you'll pick the best from the list = mostly the same playboy every other woman picks. These guys sleep around with almost all good looking women. Even women who are really romantic and want relationships become bitter and resentful towards all men. At around 27 when they are finished their degrees and their lives have normalized they give up dating apps more or less "to settle down" but there is no platform to reach those guys they ignored prior. The really hot ones are still going to find a simp to marry them only to divorce some years later because he wouldn't compare to the combined features of the 100 guys+ she had slept prior with. The average ones will look, well, bellow average. They struggle until 30 when they hit the wall then try it with younger guys. Those guys are in no position to marry at that point of their life. They pass the older ones around.
The over 30y women flock over every financially eglible bachelor over 30 (seen myself ). These guys think they are something special, enter dating apps again find out that women mostly answer to their perainal messages. Of course, they can pick as well and they'll pick the younger ones between 18-27. At least, some of them find ling-time partners this way.
So basically, unless you learn your significant one very early in life and you grow together, it's best to postpone any marriage plans until you are a 30+ male whale on the dating market and a pick a very young girl. On the other sise, it is the young girl who doesn't jump at first opportunity into the bed with a stranger ( true conservative women) which comes from proper upbringing from a household with both parents.
Last tip, always try to get to know your girl's mother. You'll gg insights from that.
