Were not talking about transgender athletes here, I have made my stance quite clear on that and that they belong either in their own league, which hopefully there's so few that, that never gets traction OR they play in a league they were born into aka penis or vagina. That keeps every other issue consistent, sports, change room / bathroom segregation, etc.

What were discussing now is Swyer syndrome which is not a male switching to a female to be better at sports. This is a person born with a vagina that I gaurantee 99% of this people that don't want her competing in female sports also don't want her in the female bathroom / change room. We want to just create an entire different rule set that applies to various situations in life.

I think its significantly more rational to say this person won a genetic lotterly that makes her better at the sport.

To the point of people saying this is some miniscule % but could dominate all female sports? Where they at then honestly, because no its not just XX these people also need to have skill and want to actually compete. Hence why we don't people with Swyer syndrome dominating all the female podiums.

This is all blowing up because there obviously is a dumb woke wave happening, which I agree with. If we didn't have this silly woke shit happening around first world countries right now I am willing to bet this would absolutely be a nonissue.

I think you have to draw a line and again since its so few born with that syndrome and even less so that compete in sports clearly I am fine with genitalia essentially. Some will believe we should carve specific rulesets, its going to be a matter of opinion.

But in this woke world, happy to keep simplistic and that's what's between your legs at birth. Never thought that would get heat from both right and left, normally just the left goes after me.

I don't think her condition is known at this time, it's just speculation. If the IBA is correct and she has XY chromosomes AND high testosterone it's unlikely that Swyer syndrome is the cause, as it's associated with low testosterone. There are other potential causes, including androgen insensitivity syndrome (partial or complete) which would explain her appearance, while matching her claims of being female, while also having XY chromosomes and high testosterone.

Since the IOC is unlikely to run tests we'll probably never know.

I think my stance does not change if its some other miniscule birth defect / syndrome at birth. Everything i've said stays applicable, born with a vagina still, presumably. If that's not the case someone can tag me when we know.

Pretty weird how large segments of the population hyper focused on adult athletes genitalia. Ultimately this is women's rights in sports issue and debate, Men don't have a a dog in this race, well the mentally sound men don't.

Women athletes, women's sport legacy, women's rights have everything to lose with the rejection of science and embracement of pseudoscience neo-eugenics. Men, not really anything at stake. Only thing threatening male sports was super juiced roid monsters.

Well to be fair as males we have predominantly just accepted that male enhancement is fine. NFL, MLB, NHL, etc. The second a chick comes in with high test , its oh my god she might hit a girl. NFL though, yeh that 300LB juiced to the gills LB just wrecked that WR, get fucked and makes the highlight reel.

Again though, I am not for trans people competing, but that's not what this thread is about. This is about some miniscule birth defect that lends well to their sport because they have higher than average test (presumably, don't know exact details).

XY chromosome is a boolean variable, not a miniscule defect. Been seeing LGBTQ+ champions reference chromosome science in context pseudoscience characteristic chart. Laughable at best

Sorry miniscule as in the % of people born with genitalia that are the opposite of chromosome and then every further the % that compete at high-level sports.

This really is a nothing at all. The trans issue, yes that's a thing. This though, congrats she hit a genetic lottery for it just like phelps did that let him dominate almost every single event.

Unfortunately it's big social issue, I do agree anecdotally this athlete hit a combo platter genetically with plausible deniability. I think it's a big social issue for people because Olympics projects World optics around social norms. Many don't care about trans, but the recent push for trans ideology with children has people on edge looking and acting on confirmation bias

That's the thing, we won't know. Minuscule would be having greater reach than normal for your height or a slightly better VO2 max. Having the testosterone of a man and the muscle bulk, bone density and metabolism that comes with it doesn't seem like a "minuscule defect" in the context of combat sports.

e/ just saw your precision in the other post, still I don't think it's comparable to Michael Phelps.

Exactly. The only reason this is what it is, is because the first world is so divided and many of us obviously think this woke trend has gone too far and are tried of shit being shoveled down our throats.
