Were not talking about transgender athletes here, I have made my stance quite clear on that and that they belong either in their own league, which hopefully there's so few that, that never gets traction OR they play in a league they were born into aka penis or vagina. That keeps every other issue consistent, sports, change room / bathroom segregation, etc.
What were discussing now is Swyer syndrome which is not a male switching to a female to be better at sports. This is a person born with a vagina that I gaurantee 99% of this people that don't want her competing in female sports also don't want her in the female bathroom / change room. We want to just create an entire different rule set that applies to various situations in life.
I think its significantly more rational to say this person won a genetic lotterly that makes her better at the sport.
To the point of people saying this is some miniscule % but could dominate all female sports? Where they at then honestly, because no its not just XX these people also need to have skill and want to actually compete. Hence why we don't people with Swyer syndrome dominating all the female podiums.
This is all blowing up because there obviously is a dumb woke wave happening, which I agree with. If we didn't have this silly woke shit happening around first world countries right now I am willing to bet this would absolutely be a nonissue.
I think you have to draw a line and again since its so few born with that syndrome and even less so that compete in sports clearly I am fine with genitalia essentially. Some will believe we should carve specific rulesets, its going to be a matter of opinion.
But in this woke world, happy to keep simplistic and that's what's between your legs at birth. Never thought that would get heat from both right and left, normally just the left goes after me.
I don't think her condition is known at this time, it's just speculation. If the IBA is correct and she has XY chromosomes AND high testosterone it's unlikely that Swyer syndrome is the cause, as it's associated with low testosterone. There are other potential causes, including androgen insensitivity syndrome (partial or complete) which would explain her appearance, while matching her claims of being female, while also having XY chromosomes and high testosterone.
Since the IOC is unlikely to run tests we'll probably never know.
